South Beach Coastal Track

                          


Track Description
Start at the Patiti Point car park. This wide, well made track has been formed on the edge of a shingle beach. It follows the coast line north towards Timaru harbour. It is an easy short walk which currently finishes at Stuart street. This track is good for cycling.
The sea on one side and the occasional, seal, penguin or surfer provide visual interest.
Getting there
From the Timaru CBD, follow along Stafford Street and continue onto King Street.  Turn left at the traffic lights at the Timaru Botanic Gardens along Domain Avenue. Go under the railway overbridge and turn left towards the Patiti Point Reserve.
