Central South Island Trail - South Canterbury Portion

                          


Track Description
The South Canterbury portion starts in Washdyke at the northern end of Timaru city and travels along SH8 to the quaint town of Pleasant Point. The track is well maintained and flat. The distance for this first portion is 14kms.
From here you carry on through Pleasant Point along SH8 to the small settlement of Cave. This second portion is a distance of 15kms, and once again the track is well maintained and flat.
You can carry on from Cave in to the Mackenzie District towards Fairlie and Lake Tekapo. Find the full details and map here
